Description
This unique clock is handmade from an original 1979 vinyl record; The Police; Walking On The Moon.
Uniquely designed, I cut out the middle 10.5cm (4.3 inches) of the record, leaving the label and an outer ring of the vinyl, which becomes the clock face. I then die cut the record sleeve into a presentation box (10.8cm x 10.8cm x 3.3cm), maximising the iconic imagery of the sleeve.
The clock can be hung on a wall when taken out of the box, or can be displayed in the box on any flat surface.
MOST OF THE VINYL HAS BEEN CUT OFF. THIS IS NO LONGER THE FULL 12" RECORD.
- Quality quartz mechanism - German UTS.
- Bespoke metal hands (black).
- Comes in a bespoke plastic box (see final 2 pictures)
- Takes a single AA battery (not supplied due to postal restrictions)
- Discreet size (no longer a full size album)
I have been making clocks and coasters since 1999. I have been featured on BBC Radio, daytime ITV, Sunday Mirror Style Magazine, Record Collector, been exhibited at The Ideal Home Show.
Find me selling live at Manchester Christmas market during November and December.
Alice Cooper has one of my clocks (an Alice Cooper one), as has Duane Eddy, Richard Hawley, John Cooper Clarke, Des O'Connor, and Brian Molko. Customers also include Edwin Starr, Henry Rollins, Johnny Marr, Roots, Jack Dee, McFly, Goodbye Charlotte, and Dweezil Zappa's band.
See popsters.co.uk for my full range of clocks, coasters and record label stickers.
