Audio
A = it sounds brilliant
B = although it sounds great there are a few age related hisses and distorted noises. Much is to be expected as an age related item. It doesn't stick and you will enjoy the sound.
C = to be honest you will pay for a record which is many years old. In this condition you expect the odd crackle. Depending on many things the quality of the player and the condition of the needle can clearly depend on the hisses, skips and static sound. So play the record as loud or as quiet and if you respect the age you will go back to a time to which only vinyl records were sold.
The Sleeve
A = sleeve is still in its plastic wrapping and is in perfect condition.
B = in really good condition. Edges have slight wearing and colour distortion.
C = slight colour distortion, edges slightly worn and minor tearing.
From condition C to F you will find a few miscellaneous factors due to people's lifestyle, how they were transported and their age. Whether or not it is graffiti (an attempt if a drawing) to writing on it it all adds to the wear and tear the record has been given. So unless it stresses it will always have minor marks, slight distortion but will always be usable.
However if there is graffiti, tea stains, footmarks etc and really has drastic damages I will always indicate to you.
D = all edges are slightly worn, colour distortion, visable signs of wear and handling.
E = sleeve torn, colour distortion, visable signs of wear and handling, stains from years gone bye but placed in a plastic sleeve cover will suffice.
F = all of the above but although it is I. A plastic sleeve needs some attention if you wanted to view its content.
Inner Sleeve
A = immaculate condition - the original inner sleeve.
B = slight colour distortion - visible signs of handling but presentable.
C = colour distortion - clear signs of handling, crumpled, minor tears.
D = colour distortion. A lot of wear and tear. Tearing and crumpled, Not very presentable.
E = a very well worn and used inner sleeve. As condition D but would benefit to have a replacement sleeve.
F = a replacement sleeve
The Record Label
A = no signs of wear. Looks perfect with no writing, no stickers placed on and no needle damage.
B = no real signs of wear, looks in great condition and is very presentable. Slight outward marks where someone has allowed the needle to run along the edge.
C = obvious signs of use, slight marks where needle has damaged edging and colour distortion
The Record
A = the record has never been played and is in immaculate condition and has visibly never been out of the sleeve.
B = the record label is clear to read. There are no scratches on either side. It has been visibly played but no signs of excessive wear. The black mirror shine is clear to see but slight cosmetic grooving where the needle has been.
C = the black buffness and shine is fading but still noticeable. The record has a few scratches. The label is clear to read but slight colour distortion is visible. It still looks very presentable but clearly has been played.
D = the record has minor scratches. The label although clear in colour has colour distortion. The dark black colour of shine is now buff in appearance and the record is clearly showing signs of being played and is clearly age related.
Miscellaneous points
A record may stick and crackle when played with different quality needles but most of the records that I sell are of an age and to hear that age related sound adds to the enjoyment of playing the record.

Postage and Packing
Each record will be sent with a protective plastic sleeve covering the outer cover.
All records are posted in appropriately made cardboard envelopes and should reach you in the condition it leaves me,thus the slightly expensive postage and packing costs.
