Description

The Renaissance: Sing and Shout. Gloryland 105, stereo. I'm guessing this came out in the late 60's, maybe early 70's; it's hippie-influenced Christian rock with a lead singer that sounds more like he listened to a lot of the Louvin Brothers. On one track, there's some split-channel speaking by a girl while the choir oohs-and-aahs in a rather out-of-tune way. It's not quite as loony as Isabel Baker or as talentless as the Shaggs, but it has its moments to treasure, including a bass player and rhythm guitar player who often seems to be using different tuning systems. Unintentionally, of course. I think all the songs are original. Vinyl plays VG to VG+ with some light-to-mild noise. It was very dirty when I got it, but it cleaned up surprisingly well. Cover is in great shape, still in the shrink. There is a little discoloration in a few of the uncovered spots.

LP has been cleaned and placed in a brand new inner sleeve.
