Notes Sealed, limited "Collector's Edition" of the critically-acclaimed first album by the New York trio The Roches (Maggie, Terre, and Suzzy Roche). 180 gram audiophile vinyl LP pressed in Germany.

The album was produced by Robert Fripp, who "also plays guitar and Fripperies (a variation of his Frippertronics). Also playing on the album are Tony Levin, Larry Fast and Jimmy Maelen of King Crimson and Peter Gabriel fame" (Wikipedia).

From the review by Allmusic.com:

The group's mischievous and highly original folk blend of barbershop, doo wop, Celtic, and bluegrass styles found its watermark with this eponymous debut, which features the pithy, tongue-in-cheek lyrics of Maggie and Terre. Aided by bassist Tony Levin and guitarist Robert Fripp — who also produced — the trio ranges from the wry resume-in-song opener "We" to the impressionistically feminist closer "Pretty and High." In between, there's talk of family, work, boyfriends, travel, and married men, all enveloped in a mix of airy acoustic guitars, limber harmonies, and rotating vocal leads. Highlights include "The Train," "Hammond," and "The Troubles."

Grading System

Vinyl (play and visual grading):

S/S = Still sealed. Condition likely mint/NM (if high-quality vinyl) or NM/EX+ (if standard vinyl).
NM (Near Mint) = Play: Very quiet overall; might have infrequent surface noise. Very few records are NM except for the highest-quality vinyl pressings (e.g., 180 gram). Visual: Looks new; no significant visible flaws.
EX (Excellent) = Play: Occasional tics/clicks and/or low surface noise (common with standard vinyl, even when new). Visual: Dulled or lightly scuffed surface and/or a few light scratches. Comparable to Goldmine's "VG+" condition.
G (Good) = Play: Frequent clicks/pops and/or more noticeable surface noise. Visual: Several minor scratches or other minor flaws.
F (Fair) = Play: Very frequent clicks/pops and/or very prevalent surface noise, but no skips. Visual: Some obvious longer scratches or other flaws.

Cover/sleeve:

Mint = No visible flaws.
NM (Near Mint) = Like new; no significant flaws.
EX (Excellent) = Minor shelf wear,  corner ding(s)/crease(s), or indent on edge; cut-out notch; or other minor flaw. Comparable to Goldmine's "VG+" condition.
G (Good) =  Minor bent corner(s) and/or minor ring wear, spotting/fading/aging, partially split edge, creases or missing paper.
F (Fair) = Major bent corner(s) plus significant ring wear; split edges; and/or spotting/fading/aging, creases, writing, or missing paper.
