Description
This record plays very clean. Some fogging of the vinyl is cosmetic only and does not effect the play. Some minor surface noise in between songs influences the VG+ grade on the wax. The jacket looks amazing and still glossy and was downgraded for some creases and slight shelf wear on the bottom seam. This is a copy you can keep as a collector.
The Rods’ “Wild Dogs” original first pressing is the 1982 US Arista LP (catalog AL 9609), a cornerstone of early 80s heavy metal from the New York power trio featuring David “Rock” Feinstein on vocals/guitar who formerly was band mates with Ronnie James Dio in Elf.
Album Overview
This debut major-label follow-up to their self-titled album delivers raw, high-energy hard rock with pounding riffs, Feinstein’s gritty vocals, and tracks like “Too Hot to Stop,” “Hurricane,” and the title “Wild Dogs.” Great cover of “You Keep Me Hangin On”.
Produced by Carl Canedy and Martin Pearson at Parkgate Studios, it blends NWOBHM influences with American aggression.
