Description

An original very 1st press of Aftermath on UK Decca. Matrix 1A/1B - 1st cut. The labels are consistent with the 1st design available at release. Note how the mention of 'Rolling Stones' has yet to be super-sized as you'll find on later copies. Also, note that the labels include a Decca deep groove as you would expect to find on a 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono with pinched spine. We also have an original Decca inner sleeve.. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. By and large a nice clean player - most tracks play lovely. But expect a bit of light background here and there in a couple of those super fussy tracks - like 'Lady Jane'. A bit of temporary crackle in the intro to '505' and a couple of ticks. Overall a bit of a cracker. Liking it!
Cover (Vg) Very nice clean and flat front. Just a touch of laminate lift and a couple of creases at the edges. The rear exhibits a bit of ageing at the extremities. Then there's a blemish over toward the opening. Lust light edge wear. Text on the spine is fully legible with just a couple of stress creases evident. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner  (Ex-) Very little ageing. Bag present. No splits.
