Description

An original unboxed stereo pressing of Aftermath on the Decca label from 1969. Matrix 1W/1W. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace pinched spine stereo cover. Also included is an original Decca company inner sleeve from the late-60's. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks each side - nothing heavy or problematic. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Do expect a touch of lightest static in a couple of isolate spots per side. The only place it's vaguely noticeable is in Lady Jane. This is the TEST track and many copies will exhibit a few static crackles and this example is no exception. Nothing invasive it just won't play as clean, here, as it does in other sections. There's also a couple of ticks in 'Stupid Girl'. Overall a great rendition of this hard to find Stereo unboxed original 60's copy.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. In my experience some of these early Stones covers are THE hardest to find in decent condition. But this example acquits itself well looking far better than most copies that surface. Lovely clean and shiny front cover with just a couple of thumbnail creases over toward the opening. The rear, which is usually the problem area, looks sweet and has avoided the worst of the ageing process. Edge wear is relatively light, but do expect a few stress creases on the spine. All text on the spine still legible.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing in places. No splits.
