Description

An original stereo 1st pess of BTBs on the UK Decca label. Matrix 5k/5k. Stampers 1-BH/1-BI. Please note the labels exhibit the deep-groove which is indicative of 1st issue for this title. Also note that in Jan 1967 mono was still very much the format of choice and, consequently, the stereo 1st pressings of BTB are much harder to find. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original James Upton 'stereo' cover. We also have an original Stereo Decca inner sleeve from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Viny (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. An absolute top-level performer which dishes out some terrific well-resolved audio whether that's in the more delicate numbers, or in the complex passages. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could make out were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A beautiful player from start to finish that does this Stones classic maximum justice.
Cover (Vg) The early Stones covers are amongst THE most difficult to find in decent condition. The front is shiny and well preserved with only a crease over toward the opening. The rear is exhibiting some of the ageing that is renowned on these early covers and a bit of staining on the bottom edge - still more than acceptable though.  Edge wear is relatively light and the text on the spine still all legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) Pretty much perfect. Barely aged at all. No spits.
