Description

TXL 101 Mono UK 1st Pressing of 'Big Hits' on the unboxed Decca label. Matrix -2A/-3A. The record comes housed in its original gatefold sleeve which states 'Mono' on the spine and includes the photo pages attached inside.

Vinyl (Ex-) The vinyl retains much of its original shine and clearly has only seen moderate use. A close visual inspection reveals nothing more than a couple of very light marks - nothing likely to sound. A thorough testing reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback form start to finish. Intros and inbetweens are pretty quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and very little intereference. There are a couple of static crackles in one or two of the quieter sections, but it is pretty minimal and does not detract from what is a great sounding record.

Cover + Insert (Ex-) Front and back are still nice and shiny.The laminate is largely intact and has preserved the vividness of the colours very well. There is some edgewear apparent to the gatefold and some of the text on the spine has worn away, but in all other respects it remians in excellent condition. The photos inside are almost totally intact which must be quite unusual the age of this record.
