Description

An original 1st press of EOMS on the UK Rolling Stone label. Matrix 1/1/2/1. Etchings - all sides have the Artisan symbol exhibiting. The vinyl is of decent pressing weight which was not the case on all copies. The vinyl comes housed in the two original bespoke thick-card inners [square corners]. The whole thing is then housed in an original 1st issue Shorewood box cover. We will ship the Lps in two generic inner sleeves from the time for maximum protection. NO postcards.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and have only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with just a couple of slight deviations. Well, find a nice early 1st copy that is well preserved - and that Artisan mastered audio is going to sound revelatory! Love it! A classic Stones album and you can only really get to fully appreciate this masterpiece on a copy like this. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Very difficult to find fault. Maybe just a few crackles just observable in one isolated spot per side. I observed one tock in 'Shine A Light' & 'Tumblin Dice'. And a solitary click early in Soul Survivor. But that's about it really. And across four sides that's an impressive strike rate. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and hasn't been abused like so many copies out there. First thing to mention is that the surfaces are nice and clean and smooth - many early copies will be getting furry by this point in time. It has also managed to retain most of that box shape too. Not perfectly - but much better than you typically find. Yes, there's a touch of lightest ageing observable but that is almost impossible to avoid entirely. Surfaces are largely unworn and with little sign of creasing. The interior is looking just as good the exterior. Edge wear is very slight for this title and that opening panel has a nice firm edge. Overall that opening panel is in excellent order - much better than you typically find. Both spines are in excellent order with only slightest wear. All text fully legible. A super original example.
