Description
The Rolling Stones - “Exile On Main St.” COC 69100 1st UK Press 1972 with complete postcards, inserts, original inners.
This version has “Rolling Stones Records TM Musidor N.V. Distributed by Kinney Record Group Ltd (p) 1972” AND “by Shorewood Packaging Co. Ltd.” on the back cover and both inners. The inner sleeves also have the “This stereo record...” notice. There is no TM symbol by the Rolling Stone Lips logo on the back cover. The title is printed on the right-hand spine only. All of which makes this one of the earliest, if not the earliest versions of this release.

Artisan “Drums” mark on all 4 sides
Vinyl: EX
Vinyl is in astonishingly good condition - bright, clean and glossy.
There’s a bit a light background noise in a couple of places on “Let It Loose” which downgrades it, otherwise all four sides play EX+/NM.
Cover / Inners / Sleeves / Postcards: VG+/EX/EX/EX+
The gatefold cover is in excellent overall condition, with just a tiny bit of rub/wear on some of the corners and the main fold, as you can see in the photo.
Both inners are in terrific condition, really tidy. The original inner-inner sleeves are also in great shape for their age.
The perforated, fold-out collection of 12 postcards is complete and close to near mint - hard to find a better example on the market these days.
Labels: EX
All four labels are in excellent condition. There is a small mark above the words “Rocks” on Side 1, but apart from that they’re near flawless.
This record is owned by a member of my family, who has taken good care of it since new. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to see more photos of either the vinyl or the cover/inners/postcards. Not easy to get across the great condition of this entire album with only 12 photos.
All records have been pro-cleaned and are supplied in Analogue Studio poly-sleeves and protective outer sleeves.
