Description
A Mono Let It Bleed on the UK Unboxed Decca label from 1969. Matrix 2A/2A. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Upton Press. Also included is the original red mono Decca inner sleeve. Please note the inner sleeve is an early version without the London Bach Choir being blocked out [redacted].
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) Has seen a significant amount of use, but these early mono copies stand the test of time. Please expect a number of light to medium marks on both sides - one or two cause a few issues as detailed below. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. For the majority of the record playback really is very nice - a really very decent standard and more than listenable. There are a couple of issues in places where it drops below this level. Love in Vain - This is a difficult one to play cleanly and this copy does exhibit a bit more crackle than you'd generally like - so please take this on-board. Also, there's a bit of crackle before side 2 gets going and a mark over 'You Got The Silver' which causes a few ticks. All in all this is still a very decent player, but make sure you weigh up the few minor indiscretions against what is a very rare and sought after record. Please note one label has been signed.
Cover (Vg+) In very decent condition and is usually found in quite an abused state - but this copy is well above average. The front is in excellent condition and there's little to complain about. The rear is very good too, but the owner has signed it in the top corner - there are a few marks too. Edge wear is reasonably light - slightly more on the spine where it has worn through in one small spot. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No nasty marks and only the bottom seam has split - and has been taped.
