Brief description of item

The super RARE 'Let It Bleed' by The Rolling Stones. This is the mono version with unboxed decca labels. Sticker on the front (no poster) poster is missing.

Matrix numbers are XARL 9363 P-2A//XARL P-1A. Made in England the decca record co. LTD. Made in the year 1969.

Still included is the red mono inner original dust protector. I have placed the record inside a brand new plain white inner also included. This helps avoid any possible split.

The labels on both sides have minimal spindle wear only visable at an angle under bright light. Each side -A- & -B- have a tiny part of writing in black biro pen. All text is clearly legible & have no fade or ripping or tearing. Still very smart for the age.

The actual record is totally free from any damage such as - chipping, scratching, needle thrash, no ingrained dust or warping of the actual disc. This sits 100% flat on a turntable or any flat surface. The test play was no less than EXCELLENT - both sides are sounding fantastic, which only that early first press decca sound can supply. This is the mono recording and therefore much rarer & sought after as it was the bands last mono release. I heard no pops, ticks, skip back, jumps or distortion in play. Only some of the very, very slightest of background noise. No major issues as any negative. I only offer what I think/know or assume to be worth offering. No point otherwise really is there? unless its for a shelf filler or something else.

The cover is in EXCELLENT shape with no ripping, fraying, dust, or damp. no tearing or splitting to the spine at the side, this is 100% intact and also perfectly legible. Clarifoil laminated front is still fully intact with no detachment. Sleeve printed in England by Upton publishing Group. A few small insignificant signs of any age, if you look at the cover closely in the close up view below. BUT nothing to drastic. Please note : There was a small part of handwritten name in biro pen on the front, under the decca box, this came off & has been removed. Sticker on the front cover still attached (no poster included in this offer though) I played this copy on a top turntable very loud & sat through both sides. Sounding awesome. The main positive part of this offering (although entirely a great item) is the vinyl. Inspected under extreme bright light & daylight, under these conditions you can see a few hairlines caused from the dust inner & the record being taken out/or placed back inside the inner. None of these have any effect on the overall audio. This regardless of any slight issues listed is a very great copy AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE. MONO examples are so rare & today with the unboxed labels etc....Very very difficult to come by.

Released in December, Let It Bleed reached #1 in the UK (temporarily knocking The Beatles ' Abbey Road out of the top slot) and #3 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the US, where it eventually went 2x platinum. The album was the Stones' last to be released in an official mono version, which is rare and highly sought-after today.

Thanks for showing interest in this item, if you have any questions I will try to answer them quickly, if possible.

Good luck.

All vinyl comes from a smoke, damp and pet free environment

>>  Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
