Description

An original 1st press of META on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1W/2W - 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover and the original Decca inner sleeve is also present. Very earliest 1st pressings will come housed in an inner sleeve which predates the original June 1975 release date. This example dates from 05-75 [May 1975]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A marvellous looking copy that has clearly only seen the lightest use. Tilt the LP up to the light and those grooves glimmer as they have seen very little use. A couple of slight marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Pretty much faultless in all aspects. Totally clean signalled - I can hardly make out a single sign of use in the audio. Perfectly quiet intros and inbetweens. AlI that I could detect was a 1 second pulse of interference as Sister Fanny closes out [the audio is 80% faded out by the time it hits]. Low-key moments pay perfectly clean. All I could detect was a couple of crackles [literally] - per side. You can afford to be very fussy with this title [as a buyer]. And this copy will get you as close as is humanly possible to a perfect copy. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Give the lack of lamination and that light-yellow/cream colour palette - this cover is extremely difficult to find in great condition. But this example is nigh on perfect. Zero signs of ageing. Almost no signs of handling front and rear - barely a crease! It's as good a copy as you could possibly hope to find. There's no edge wear and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Lightly aged. No splits.
