The Rolling Stones “Rock And Roll Circus” Expanded Edition, Remastered 3 × Vinyl LP’s in Slipcase, Remastered, 180 Gram Box Set ABKCO ?– 7185551 released on the 5th July 2019

The original Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is the fifth release of The Rolling Stones music by former manager Allen Klein's ABKCO Records (who gained control of the band's Decca/London material in 1970) after the band's departure from Decca and Klein. Released in 1996, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is a live album that captures the taping of their ill-fated 1968 TV special, which was not broadcast until almost two decades later.

Seeking an original way to promote the newly released Beggars Banquet, The Rolling Stones concocted the idea of recording a live extravaganza of music with a circus theme. They also invited guests to perform, among whom John Lennon (with Yoko Ono), The Who, Eric Clapton (fresh from the break-up of Cream), Taj Mahal, Jethro Tull (a short lived line-up featuring Tony Iommi), and Mick Jagger's then-current girlfriend, Marianne Faithfull, all took part. Specially for the occasion, Lennon, Clapton, Keith Richards (on bass) and Mitch Mitchell (of The Jimi Hendrix Experience) would form a one-time alliance entitled The Dirty Mac.

GRADING GUIDE

This is a guide as to how I grade the Records that I sell, everyone has their own opinions as to the condition of a Record but this should give a good indication so you can make an informed decision.

M (Mint): Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (i.e. contents) are in perfect condition.

M – (Mint Minus): In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents nearly perfect.

EX + (Excellent Plus):  The Vinyl is better than EX but not quite near mint, possibly the odd super feint sleeve removal mark visible in strong light, but no proper surface marks. The sleeve may have super feint creasing or very slight handling marks but still in great shape.

EX (Excellent): Shows some signs of being played, light marks, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG + (Very Good Plus): Better than Very Good: Has been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite some surface marks and light scratches. Some wear and tear on cover and contents, as in corner/edge/ring wear, without any major defects though.

VG (Very Good): Has been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratches. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

GD + (Good Plus): Better than Good: Sound quality has deteriorated but with no distortion. Some scratches and occasional more noticeable scratches that can be felt. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges but not spine splits or discolouration.

GD (Good): Sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

F (Fair): Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

P (Poor): Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
