Description

An original 1st press from spring 1971 on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1D/2D - 1st cut. This LP was released shortly after the Stones navigated their way out of the 60's Decca contract. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover and a blue and white Decca poly-lined inner from early 1971. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In beautiful condition and has clearly seen only light use. Under close inspection I couldn't make out more than a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. What's not to like! If you like Stones hits delivered in clean and unfettered high quality audio...then look no further. Very little to find fault with. A clean player throughout which has only seen light use. You might pick out a few minor crackles in a couple of isolated moments. 'Tears Go By' exhibits a touch of static in a couple of spots. But it's still a fine rendition - and better than most. Spin and enjoy!
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition. I tend to find this cover suffers a bit on the rear - usually some fading is often evident. But this copy is in very rude health. A shiny flat and uncreased front and a rear which appears to have mostly avoided the ageing process. There's very little edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Touch of lightest ageing. No splits. Very clean and tidy.
