Description
This listing is for a nice copy of the USA 45 rpm single " STREET FIGHTING MAN / NO EXPECTATIONS " by THE ROLLING STONES, on USA LONDON RECORDS, 45-909, from 1968.
This copy is one of the very earliest pressings, that contained an alternate outtake version of STREET FIGHTING MAN, which was quickly withdrawn and replaced with the normal LP version, it is matched with a reproduction copy of the original Pic sleeve, which was also banned due to the police violence shown.
The matrix numbers etched in run out grooves, are XDR- 43220 A 72808, and XDR-43221 B 72808-X. This pressing is confirmed in the book by LUCA MASSIMO ACCIALINI, titled THE ROLLING STONES WORLD-WIDE UP-DATED DISCOGRAPHY 2015, in the USA London Label listings.
I have playgraded this record as EX / VG, there is some backgound surface noise mainly on B side, there is a small drilled hole right through label and some light marks, please refer to photos.
The Repro P/S is a reasonably good copy, VG condition, print a little feint in places, but still nice to have.
