Description

An original 1st press of SGs on the Rolling Stone Label. Matrix A3U/B3U. Stamped "Sterling". The vinyl comes housed in an original die-cut uncensored G&L cover. This is the very 1st version which a number of the Hollywood celebs took issue with and asked for their images to be removed. You will note that Monroe's image is present and her estate definitely filed a legal complaint and successfully got her image removed from later copies. The cover is made up of a die-cut out sleeve with an inner sleeve with the face images. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
 Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is very minor and infrequent. I couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. Please note there are a few foxing spots on the labels. But judge it on the audio because THAT is what matters.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition with those die-cut openings still looking sweet without significant wear. There's very little handling or creasing evident at all. Ditto the rear - all I could make out where two tiny age spots. Edge wear is very light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - very ncie. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Very nice surfaces. NO splits.
