Description
An original 1st issue of SF on the Rolling Stone Records label. Matrix A3/B5. Etching "TML Rolling Stones Records". This pressing dates from toward the end of the initial chart run. The vinyl comes housed in an original working zip cover with pinched spine. Also included is an original generic white patent no. inner sleeve and a credit/poster insert by Gothic Print Finishers. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks in a couple of spots - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. SF really needs a decent clean rendition to do it proper justice. Remember, you have White Horses and then a number of low-key tracks on side 2. If your copy isn't clean - it's going to stand out like a sore thumb! You need a clean copy like this one so that the audio just flows unhindered from the speakers without the ear focusing on distracting interference or distortion. Instead... focus on purchasing a clean copy - this copy! All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A top level performer and one that would be very difficult to better. Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and certainly looking a lot nicer than most original copies that surface after this time. Clean front and back without the usual heavy wear or significant indentations - just one mark on the rear. Do expect a bit of ageing as many of these original examples are now exhibiting. The zip is in very nice order and fully operational. Edge wear is very light for this title. In fact, the spine is 100% intact - which is very unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Precious little ageing. No marks.
Credit/Poster (Ex/Ex+) Practically faultless...just one minuscule pinprick in the centre of the image.
