FOR SALE: My very own private collection of Rolling Stones original UK albums, singles, EPs, CDs, b**tlegs, videos and authentic memorabilia (including the rare monthly fanzines) dating back to the Stones’ first releases in 1963. I started collecting in 1969 and continued until about 1995 (and sporadically thereafter). My favourite periods were the 60s and most of the 70s and the collection reflects that. Now it’s time to pass on over 150 Stones items in great condition (mostly UK, plus some export and American). The majority are rare first pressings or limited edition items. CONDITION: I have always referred to the Record Collector grading guidelines and never over-grade as many sellers do. You might like to know, however, that as a collector I could be fussy about quality to the point of obsessing! Therefore many records (including some early ones) are in genuinely MINT condition, while the majority are NEAR MINT or EXCELLENT, and a few exceptions are VERY GOOD. What's more I've always had an excellent turntable to play them on (currently a Rega Planar).

PLEASE NOTE: Until about a year ago this collection was in safe storage, boxed up vertically and fully protected for over 15 years. Many records have not been played for over 20 years. All albums have their own individual clear plastic outer dust jacket. I automatically put my new LPs into these jackets to protect the sleeves. Looking back, I am astonished at how carefully and lovingly I looked after them!

STICKY FINGERS – COC 59100, ORIGINAL 1971 UK release with WORKING ZIPPER, the first on Rolling Stones Records. Early pressings, original thick card outer sleeve, paper inner sleeve and insert. I have owned this album since I bought it in 1971.

I cannot imagine finding a better copy of this album, it looks, feels and plays almost AS NEW. It comes COMPLETE with working zipper, original insert and original white inner sleeve. If I was buying, this would be my FINAL UPGRADE!

VINYL – Visually: MINT. Clean, shiny, looks like a new record!

VINYL – Aurally: NEAR MINT. I know this is what I should say, but in truth this record plays mint! A joy to listen to! I have play-tested both sides, and there is no noise other than the music, no wear or distortion, just punchy out-of-the-box clarity and power, this record really does sound fantastic, as new! I played this album every now and then during the 70s and 80s, and not at all in the last 15+ years, so it has had very little use.

LABELS: MINT, bright yellow, no blemishes, the faintest sign of a spindle mark, lovely!

OUTER SLEEVE: NEAR MINT. The working zipper is MINT. A lovely example of this Andy Warhol designed sleeve, crisp and clean, flat and smooth, untarnished and undented condition with sharp corners. Protected in clear plastic gatefold outer dust jacket since new (removed for photos, but yours if you want it). No damage of any description, just one or two very faint crease lines that you tend not to notice unless looking for them. The spine is MINT, pinched top and bottom as ONLY THE EARLY SLEEVES WERE (all Rolling Stones 60s sleeves were pinched/flattened top and bottom). This always confirms a genuine early release. There are a few indents front and back from the protruding zippers of other Sticky Fingers sleeves stacked next to this one on the record shop shelf, but this is normal! I have never seen an original sleeve without them, and they have become part of the interest of this sleeve. In truly fabulous overall shape, genuinely RARE in this condition!

INNER SLEEVE: MINT. Original white paper sleeve in perfect condition. This is often overlooked when searching for a COMPLETE album package.

INSERT: MINT. The original insert in perfect condition.

So there we have it, this album is hard to find as an ORIGINAL release in genuinely NEAR MINT (let alone MINT) overall condition, the whole package really is superb, a FINAL UPGRADE in my view, so should you decide to buy or bid I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
