The Rolling Stones Still Life Orig U.K. *Picture Disc* Gatefold Sleeve LP EX/EX+

Original U.K. 1981 Picture Disc L.P. issue of the Rolling Stones 'Still Life (American Concert 1981)' (Catalogue Reference: Rolling Stones Records/E.M.I. Records CUNP 39115). This consists of a picture disc held inside a printed, die-cut inner sleeve which is itself held inside a gatefold sleeve. This is a great looking copy of this record and judging by the condition of the inner and the record itself I'd guess it has barely seen any play. The record is graded as being in EXCELLENT+ condition. It is so hard to find picture discs in this kind of condition! Under an intense light I can perhaps make out a couple of hairline scratches and a little groove-wear on one track but otherwise this has an 'as new' gleam to it. I'd think it has been played a couple of times. The inner is virtually immaculate. I note a small bend (but not a crease as such) to one of the opening corners. There is minimal ring-wear to the front sleeve (less so to the rear) but all four corners are still pretty straight (i.e. they have not been subject to knocks). The writing on the spine is still clearly visible and the inside of the gatefold is immaculate. The opening edge of the sleeve is unblemished (i.e. no fraying for instance) however, I note some general grubbiness on the sleeve which prevents me from grading any higher than EXCELLENT condition (more condition details below).

L.P. Sleeve + Inner

Thegatefold sleeve is graded as being in EXCELLENT condition. It is a very respectable copy however, some general grubbiness prevents me from grading any higher than EXCELLENT. This general grubbiness is a result of something having been spilt near the sleeve and flecks having hit the sleeve. The 'damage' (if you could call it as such) isn't very obvious and certainly hasn't resulted in any loss of print. It is more prevalent on the front of the sleeve (top right-hand corner) than the rear and you can only really see it when you angle the sleeve in the light. On the rear there is one 'fleck' which extends down the sleeve. Don't let this put you off because this is a great looking copy with no bends or creases and each of the corners is in-tact. There is a little ring-wear evident to both the front & rear and a tiny amount of print-loss along the exposed edge of the top of the sleeve. As noted above the inner is basically immaculate and is graded as being in NEAR MINT condition.

This is graded as being in EXCELLENT+ condition. I'd think it hasn't been played more than a couple of times and has a great 'as new' sheen to it. All my items are graded under an intense light and here I struggle to discern more than a couple of hairline scratches however, I do note a little groove-wear to the second track on Side Two ('Time Is On My Side'). It is so hard to find picture discs in this kind of condition! You'll struggle to find better!
