Description
The Rolling Stones-Aftermath-Original UK Unboxed Mono LP on Decca~VG This listing is for the vinyl record from The Rolling Stones, titled, Aftermath. It was released in 1966. (Decca Records LK 4786~Original U.K. First Pressing-Mono--Unboxed with matrix numbers XARL-7209-5B and XARL-7210-1A). The vinyl is shiny and grades VG, with light scratches. The record play grades only VG due to light background noise on parts of most of the songs. After the first few songs on side 1, most of both sides plays VG to VG+. The record does not skip or have loud pops and clicks and the background noise isn't over powering, so the record is still enjoyable and a nice collectible for someone who isn't too picky. Near mint copies of this one often go for $100 to $150 so I offer despite the background noise. The jacket has no rips, no writing and no seam splits, with nice gloss. It grades VG+, with some corner wear, a bit of light cover wear and a 1 inch and 2 inch crease by the lower left corner and the upper left corner.
- SONGS: The record has 14 excellent songs and it's a classic: Mothers Little Helper, Stupid Girl, Lady Jane, Under My Thumb, Doncha Bother Me, Goin' Home, Flight, High And Dry, Out Of Time, It's Not Easy, I Am Waiting, Take It Or Leave It, Think and What To Do. That's the record, good luck bidding!
- CONDITION: Record: VG ::: Jacket: VG+
- Please note that all of my records are original U.S. first pressings; unless noted differently; where I write the record label and label number at the beginning of the description. For grading I use a bright light to inspect each record for any possible scratches or marks. I also play grade all or parts of every record I sell.
- For U.S. buyers; the cost of media mail shipping and the box and packing supplies totals $4.00 and each record adds only .50 to the initial $4.00 charge. Please note also that New York State buyers must add 8% sales tax to their winning bid price.
- For Canada orders the cost of first class shipping and the box and packing supplies totals $8.00 and each record adds $2.50. For the rest of the world the cost of first class shipping and the box and packing supplies totals $16.00 and each record adds $3.
- For packing I use a professionally made vinyl record box and 2 extra cardboard filler pads that surround the record for added protection.
- Here's the grading scale that I use.
- RECORD GRADING
- SEALED: Still brand new and factory sealed
- MINT: The record will not be sealed, but it will be perfect and still look brand new and unplayed.
- NEAR MINT: The record will be very clean and shiny, with no scratches or marks andit will play great.
- VG++: The record will very clean and shiny, with just a couple of very light scratches or very light marks, that will not affect the play. The record will play very well.
- VG+: The record will be shiny with some light scratches. The record will play well, with either no background noise; or with just a bit of light background noise. Usually the light background noise would be on quieter parts or at the start or end of a song
- VG: The record will probably have lost some shine and it will have some scratches or scuffs. The record will play with some background noise on parts, but it won't skip and will be enjoyable
- G+: The record will have more scratches and marks than VG and will play with more background noise. It won't skip but will play with noticeable background noise on parts
- G or Fair: The record will play worse than G+, but also should not skip. I don't sell many records graded G+, G or fair. I usually only list G+, G or fair graded vinyl when it's a very rare record
- JACKET GRADING
- SEALED: Still factory sealed
- NEAR MINT: The jacket will have no flaws. It will have no corner wear, no cover wear/ring wear, no writing, no seam splits and no cut outs, drill holes or cut corners. The jacket might or might not be in shrinkwrap.
- VG++: The jacket will be just a notch under near mint with 1 or 2 very minor flaws. Perhaps a bit of corner wear or just a bit of very light cover wear or very light ring wear.
- VG+: The jacket will be in nice shape, with some corner wear and maybe some light cover wear or light ringwear.
- VG: The jacket will have more noticeable flaws with heavier cover wear or ring wear, plus maybe a small seam split in the 3 or 4 inch range and maybe a name written in small letters near a corner.
- G+: The jacket will have even more flaws with maybe a crease, some surface scrapes, more writing and larger seam splits; with heavier cover wear
- G: Even worse than G+ but still useable
- fair: Many flaws and only used for very rare records or if the actual vinyl grade is VG+ or better
