This album has been in my collection since 1967, when I bought it new.  I have limited experience in grading vinyl, but have done a fair amount of research on the subject, so will try to describe the condition of this LP as accurately and as honestly as possible, bearing in mind that the standard grading system is somewhat vague and imprecise.  I have decided to sell my LP collection and all records are carefully inspected and listened to before I auction them.

 

I would have graded the vinyl LP as VG to VG+, it is clean and shiny, has only a few minor marks, and plays with just a few background crackles and the odd click and the dynamics are still really good.  However, the track “2000 Light Years From Home” has two skips in it, they are not very prominent, but they are definitely there, so I can only grade the vinyl as a,  somewhat optimistic, good.  The labels are clean with only slight signs of spindle wear, but sometime in the distant past I wrote my name on side two (see photo).  Hence my low starting price for this rare record.

 

The outer 3D gatefold sleeve is in VG + condition; it is very clean and bright with no tears, splits, creases or cracks and just a little wear on the corners.  The 3D panel is pristine.  The original red inner sleeve is also VG+.  If you have a really good copy of the LP, with a tatty gatefold sleeve, this would be an ideal purchase.
