The Royal Ballet, Classic Records 2 LP box set. #0717.
I am selling this item as well as many other very collectible LP's and LP sets for an estate of an avid collector! I will have a mix of Rock, Classical and Jazz Sets and single LP's for sale. This auction is for (1) RCA Victor (Classic Records) Soria Series LD 6065 The Royal Ballet - Gala Performances / Ernest Ansermet 2 LP Deluxe Edition Box Set. There are (2) 180 Gram albums in this set. This was the first 33 RPM pressing of this title issued on 180 Gram Vinyl. The Box Set was a Numbered Limited Edition. The Serial Number is #0717. This album set was remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original master tapes for the ultimate sound quality experience. This long out of print desirable album set is a must have for any Classical Music fan. There are no cutout marks, seam splits, or dented corners on the album set. This album set has become quite a rare collectible.
Both LP's are in NM condition. The Booklet is NM also. The single sheet that lists performances has a few slight bends and marks. The Case as you can see is EX+ or better.
The Royal Ballet has historically been the most highly sought after of the RCA Living Stereo releases. Recorded in Kingsway Hall by the legendary Kenneth Wilkinson, this title features selections from The Nutcracker Suite, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty among others. The performances are conducted by Ernest Ansermet directing the Royal Opera House Orchestra and the sonics are incomparable.
