Description
THE RUTS - In A Rut - MEGA RARE Original 1978 UK 7" Vinyl Single in plain sleeve (this single was never released with a picture sleeve). First pressing, only 1000 copies pressed on People Unite records. Black rim outer circle on label with 'PEOPLE UNITE' in white (second and third pressings/reissues had a white rim with black text)
The debut single from The Ruts - a punk/new wave classic rarity - much sought after and increasingly difficult to find.
Excellent condition throughout. Test plays as EX + both sides play perfectly throughout - no snaps, crackles or pops, no jumps - sounds deep, clear and clean. Vinyl appearance graded as EX : slight visual wear only, no warps or pressing imperfections, no significant marks, scratches etc. Labels are EX+ with no significant marks, spindle wear or writing - please see photos.
The single will packaged in a professional 7" mailer with card stiffners. (I sometimes use recycled mailers where appropriate (if in excellent condition) to keep postage costs down for both myself and the buyer) - postage within the UK will be by Royal Mail first class signed for - FREE OF CHARGE!

GRADINGS
When grading records I follow the standard UK grading system as defined by Record Collector Magazine. This is the most widely used guide and respected by Collectors Worldwide.
MINT (M) – Record is in brand new condition. The cover and all extra items are present and in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX) – The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG) – The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items (without any major defects) is acceptable.
