Rarity: Fairly Rare especially so being a Parlophone Green & White A Label (Demo) in this Wonderful condition with JR Stampers and with it's Original Sleeve. It also has the KT tax code Embossed onto the Label of Side 1: There were probably No more than 250 copies of these Pressed and distributed to Record Executives, Major Record Outlets and DJ's. So how Many are there Still about today over 50 Years later? Especially in this wonderful Playable condition?

Brief Artist & Album Info: "Do You Remember" is an Odd one since Mike McGear and Roger McGough had Also cut this song for their Infamous "McGough and McGear" album which came out sometime around this time. This was a re-recorded version. Charming wistful song. The B Side is a strange Ditty with lead vocals by John Gorman.

The Scaffold were a comedy, poetry and music Trio from Liverpool, England, consisting of musical performer Mike McGear (real name Peter Michael McCartney, the brother of Paul McCartney), poet Roger McGough and comic entertainer John Gorman.

From as Early as 1962 the members of The Scaffold were part of a Performing revue group known as The Liverpool One Fat Lady All Electric Show ("One Fat Lady" is the Bingo term for 8, and the performers mostly lived in the Liverpool 8 district). McGough's fellow Liverpool poet Adrian Henri was Also a founder member of this early configuration.

Working almost exclusively as a Trio under the name The Scaffold from 1964, Gorman, McGear and McGough Performed a mixture of comic songs, comedy sketches and the poetry of McGough (as evidenced on their 1968 live album), and they Released a number of singles and albums on Parlophone and EMI between 1966 and 1971, with several more on Island, Warner Bros. and Bronze thereafter.

Their Best known recording is "Lily the Pink" which Topped the UK charts in 1968, and the group Also composed and sang the theme tune to the popular BBC TV comedy The Liver Birds, which aired from 1969–1978.

Although each of them was a Talented composer and Distinctive vocal performer, of the trio Only McGear could even loosely be Described as a Professional Musician, and their more musical endeavours were usually augmented with contributions by session musicians. Elton John, Jack Bruce and Graham Nash were among the session musicians who Performed on The Scaffold's early records. Tim Rice, who was at that time an assistant to their producer Norrie Paramor, Also contributed Backing Vocals to some of their material. Additionally, although not officially credited as a Permanent member of the group during its Heyday, guitarist Andy Roberts Was a frequent musical collaborator from as far back as 1962, acting as musical director and arranger in a live setting Throughout their career and playing on a large number of their releases.

The Scaffold Achieved Top 10 success in the UK.

CONDITION: 

Labels: The Parlophone Green and White A Labels are Both in Fantastic condition with Very little signs of Spindle Wear or Spider Marks. There are no Label Lifts or Marks anywhere. All of the printing is Readable and the White A looks Stunning against the Green backdrop. It also has the KT tax code embossed into the Push out center of Side 1:  Both sides have "DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE". The ONLY thing that Spoils them is that a Previous owner has written Sycamore Ward onto Both sides of the Labels in Black Ink. Despite the Writing I would still grade these as Very Good ++!!!! 

Vinyl: Plays throughout absolutely Brilliant with no Pops, Clicks or Jumps. The record still Retains that glossy sheen though there are several surface marks and thumbnails to be seen, these in NO way interfere with the Superb sound quality. This Single plays up to and  beyond its high visual grading with hardly anything of note to fault. It offers strong, distortion-free sound, all frequencies are sharp and clear – sound quality is very high with a wide dynamic range and very detailed sound. A typical polished production from George Martin. Minimal surface sound and no tracking issues. This play-grade proved a real pleasure when playing this fast disappearing single, this being the first example I have had for some time, and possibly the Best all-round one for me yet. It will prove quite Difficult to find a significantly Better copy and merits a Very strong recommendation. I would grade both sides as Very Good ++/Excellent!!!! 

Cover/Sleeve: The Sleeve is constructed of a very Flimsy paper and has done Very well to Still be around today more than 50 Years later. There are no Tears, Writing or Marks anywhere. There is a light Indentation from where a Previous owner had stored the Single within the Sleeve. There is Also a tiny Split at the bottom Edge. This cover is incredibly Difficult to find in Excellent or Better condition simply because of it's design and age. However I would be happy enough to grade it as Very Good ++!!!!

Cover/Sleeve Summary: Not seen often, this one is in Lovely condition with only Gentle clues of age, any blemishes mostly light. This classic cover (as described) should please many collectors. 

Album/Single Played For Grading: I play/grade ALL records I offer before submitting, I also play them in their entirety unless clearly stated otherwise. I do NOT play snippets or joining grooves to check for sound quality and quietness – I play from the beginning to end. I use a Linn LP12 Sondek turntable with Ittok Mk II arm and Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge and Linn Lingo, with my Linn system and Forest Totem Speakers. This system is guaranteed  to pick up any distortion or interference within the sound. 

Grading: In my opinion I REFUSE to believe that there is ANY record that can be truly graded as Mint; the BEST that could be offered is Mint- (minus)!!!! Especially so from the 50's, 60's, 70's or even up to the present date!!!! Even copies bought new today would have some form of imperfection on the Record or Cover!!!! Under that assumption I will NEVER use the word Mint in any of my descriptions and Mint- is the HIGHEST grade I would ever offer. So I will only from Excellent, Good or Poor with a -(minus), +(plus) or ++(plus, plus)!!!!
