Bill Stocker & THE SCARLETS
The Scarlets was a local college band from Worcester MA that Dick Campbell & Artie Sullivan hooked up with and used to back up their recordings while living in Massachusetts. Dick joined the band about a year and half after they formed. The band tracks of Miami and Joannie written by Dick were recorded at Professional Sound Inc. Boston MA using The Scarlets, a local Worcester MA college band without vocals. The Scarlets were Peter Damanis on drums, born in Queens NY attending Clark University Worcester MA, Gordon Schultz on lead guitar from Worcester MA also at Clark University Worcester MA and John Benson on bass from Worcester Ma attending Worcester Tech. Dick & Artie moved to Monroe WI they took the master tape to Cuca Recording Studio, also known as Cuca Records in Sauk City WI and dubbed Bill Stocker a vocalist from Monroe WI, who had is own band "Hard Times". It became their first release on their newly formed company CineVista Records, Monticello WI where they were living at the time.
