Description

Up for bids is a nice copy of the rare The Shades Of Black Lightning LP on Tower records. This one hasn't been up for a while so grab it while you can.  The sleeve has some light wear to it, as you can see in the photo.  Light ringwear but seams and corners are tight.  Small crimp in the bottom right corner.  Vinyl is shiny and clean with only a few light marks.

The 'Shades' were a 5 man group that could or should be considered 'blue eyed soul' Great vocals with some horn backing, heavy bass lines and some 'kickin' drums. Released circa' 1968-'69 the Lp contains the following tracks; (A) Got Myself Together/ Yesterdays Dreams/ Mama Jo's Place/ Baby Doll/ Any Old Way (B) Soul Love-In/ Gonna Win You Over/ Who Do You Think I Am/ I Need You and Searchin. There is a fabulous 'breakbeat' on 'Any Old Way'
