Description

The Shangri-Las took the "Girl Group" sound and image to a new level, with an undertone of danger and running with the wrong crowd. Commonly known as "I Can Never Go Home Anymore," the actual title is "Shangri-Las 65" as on the labels, and early presses were missing the "title" song! Red Bird President George Goldner tried to preserve single sales and the move backfired. This is the much scarcer second version, with "Never Go Home" inserted as Song 1, Side 2, and the indicia changed to LSLP-5012-B. This one is Audiomatrix all the way, with date 10/28/65 etched into the dead wax. Record is absoulte Near Mint with nary a scuff or scratch, cover shows light ring wear and a tiny scuff upper left. Original Red Brod labels, LP 20-104.
