Description

Die erste Beat-LP, die in der ehemaligen UdSSR herauskam, war die 25 cm LP Pojuschie Gitary (The Singing Guitars). 1966 hatte die Gruppe sich gegründet und 1969 kam diese superrare 10inch Lp bei Melodja heraus. Die Titel sind unüberhörbar angelehnt an den Sound der Shadows bzw. Tremeloes. Die Gruppe beherrschte ihr Handwerk und wurde eine der Spitzengruppen in der damaligen Sowjetunion. Auf der ersten vorliegenden LP hört man Titel wie :; Apachen, Torrero , Friends und Eigenkompositionen auf dem Niveau der Shadows. Auch ist ein Tremeloes-Titel auf der Seite 2 enthalten. Die Lp kam 1969 auf dem Label Melodja mit der Nr. 242317-18 Mono auf den Markt.An Hand der Herstellungs-Nr. Gost 5289-68 erkennt man, dass es sich um die Erstpressung handelt.Es ist also keine Nachauflage!!! Der Zustand des Vinyls ist :sehr gut : VG++ (fast M-) ;/ Cover : gutes VG+!!!!! Sehr seltene Schallplatte !!!

Pojuschie Gitary (The Singing Guitars) seem to be the first really ROCK/BEAT- BAND in the USSR.
The band was formed about 1966. The rumours began to spread around the country about some "singing guitarists".

That's where the band's name comes from. Pojuschie started with cover versions of beat bands like Shadows and Tremeloes. But then they began to include local authors' compositions as well as their own ones. Their early seventies songs bear similarities to Christie and Blue Mink. Their popularity was just enormous. They had thousands of followers and established a new form called "VIA" - vocal instrumental ensemble. Most of that "VIA" played some mixture of beat ant pop of better or poorer quality. But Pojuschie were the first and undoubtely the best. Their heritage includes several EP's and a 10 track 10" self titled mini-LP (1969) (all of them, especially the mini-LP are highly collectable and very hard to find).
