Description

The Smiths - Louder Than Bombs - 12" Double Vinyl Record  'CBS Pressing' ROUGH 255 1988 
This compilation was originally released on Sire in 1987 in USA and Canada only. That year, substantial quantities of US Sire pressings of all formats were imported into the UK and distributed by Rough Trade Distribution / The Cartel. As such the imported version entered the UK Album Chart in May 1987: Subsequently, Rough Trade manufactured a UK version which was released in 1988. 1988 UK pressings can be identified by the use of the Rough Trade logo and catalogue number system: ROUGH 255, ROUGH C255 and ROUGH CD255.
Pressed at CBS Pressing Plant, Aston Clinton (stamped "broken A", i.e. 'Λ', in the runouts) as compared to Louder Than Bombs, which was pressed by MPO.
Lyrics printed inside the gatefold sleeve. Brown, coarse inner sleeves.
On rear sleeve: Recorded in England from April 1983 - November 1986. Cover star reprinted from The Saturday Evening Post © 1961 Curtis Publishing Co Made in England.
This is a beautiful copy. Vinyl is very good+, cleaned and play tested. It's immaculate. Sleeve and original inners also in fantastic condition. One for the Smiths collectors this one.
