The Smiths THE QUEEN IS DEAD Vinyl LP ROUGH 96 - UK 1st PRESSING 1986 RARE.
For sale is my original 1986 UK LP of THE SMITHS album THE QUEEN IS DEAD purchased in Manchester the year of release. I believe this is a first pressing as per Discogs - the matrix numbers are ROUGH 96 A-1U-1 (side one) and B-1U-1 (side two). The run off grooves have "Them was rotten days" and "Fear of Manchester" hand etched in what appears to be Morrissey's handwriting. Please have a close look at the pictures and make up your own mind. Feel free to use the "Make Offer" button - I won't mind.
Condition: Please note I am not a professional dealer, I'm just selling a few of my own records. I am not experienced in grading vinyl. I can only give an honest appraisal of the condition of this disc based on visual inspection. That said - The gatefold sleeve is in very good condition with only light wear, the glossy inner sleeve is in excellent condition, the disc seems to me to be very good both sides with very light marks and scratches only visible under the harshest light and still retaining it's gloss. I have not played it as I no longer own a record player but I can see no reason why it should not play well with only minimal surface noise.
