Description
The Smiths - 'The Queen Is Dead'
Rough Trade - ROUGH 96 - UK 1986 - MPO Pressing
Vinyl/Sleeve: VG+/VG
Matrix: (a) MPO ROUGH 96 A1 FEAR OF MANCHESTER
(b) MPO ROUGH 96 B1 THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS
Vinyl: Very Good +
This record has been cleaned and play checked. Playback is excellent, the only thing I noticed were some light tics at the end of side two's track 4 thru the track interval into the beginning of track 5. The record's playing surface has several insignificant fine lines, which with the exception of a couple, are somewhat faint. The labels are nice with spindle marks that are difficult to see.
Sleeve: Very Good
The glossy gatefold sleeve has received a fair amount of handling resulting in edge wear, some surface marking - mainly from being used as support when writing something, and more significantly - a 3" seam split to the top of the right hand gatefold where the record has cut through. Other than that, it's not too bad, it's still quite sturdy with a legible spine. The printed inner sleeve is ok but has a 2" seam split along the bottom.
Side One: The Queen Is Dead (Take Me Back To Dear Old Blighty (Medley) / Frankly, Mr. Shankly / I Know It's Over / Never Had No One Never / Cemetry Gates
Side Two: Bigmouth Strikes Again / The Boy With The Thorn In His Side / Vicar In A Tutu / There Is A Light That Never Goes Out / Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
