Description
My play tested copy of The Queen is Dead by The Smiths - Rough Trade - Rough 96 - 1986 U.K. Release.
This the MPO pressing with following etched matrix runouts:
Side 1 - ROUGH 96 A1 X FEAR OF MANCHESTER MPO
Side 2 - ROUGH 96. B1 X THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS
Track 1 is subtitled Take Me Back To Dear Old Blighty (Medley) on the label.
Both sides of the album play really well without fault and is very conservatively graded VG+. There are some light surface marks that were probably from the card inner but these do not affect play. I’ve play tested the album several times. The vinyl is in a poly lined inner and has been for several years.
The cover is also conservatively graded VG+. There are some signs of ring wear on the back and the photos show this but it still looks pretty good. The mark across the lyrics on the inside gatefold (see photo) is a print mark not damage and was there on purchase. Not sure if all covers have this?
A really nice copy of a great album. The album will be carefully packaged with the cover in an acid free sleeve and the record and inner outside of the gatefold to prevent splitting in transit. The album will be in a record mailer and sent using Royal Mail. Happy to combine postage and wait for other auctions to end.
