Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe the condition of all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
The Smiths - 'William It Was Really Nothing' Rare Sleeve 12" - 1987

This is the very rare re-issue version of William It Was Really Nothing from 1987, which is now becoming difficult to obtain. The sleeve of this re-issue differed from the green 'Man on Bed' sleeve of the original release, and features a still of Billie Whitelaw from the film "Charlie Bubbles". This item was listed in the Record Collector Smiths Top 100 rarities list at number 74 whereupon it was given an value of 40.00 (see photo). This one is in superb condition, looking practically new as if bought from a shop today; such is the care which has been taken in storing this record (outside its sleeve) to keep it in A1 shape. It does, of course, have its original light blue inner sleeve, which is often missing in examples of this record sold these days.The vinyl and labels are in mint condition, being glossy and new in appearance - with not even any surface marks visible if the record is held up to the light. To my knowledge the record is completely unplayed, and its appearance is consistent with this. There are no splits or wear at all to the delicate light blue inner sleeve which is also mint. The outer sleeve is also in mint condition, with all edges and corners sharp and unworn. There are no signs of wear to this sleeve at all, and the only imperfections are a few very light indentations near the top which can only been if the sleeve is held to the light. It would be difficult to imagine a better example of this very rare sleeve and record. Please see the accompanying photo; note that the ID lettering is just on the picture and not on the item itself.
