ABOUT THIS LP

The source material for these tracks was originally recorded by the Voyager I and Voyager II space probes. Audible frequencies such as those made by musical instruments are caused by the compression of air or other gasses and cannot propagate in a vacuum such as space. The "songs" recorded by the Voyager probes aren't sounds in the conventional sense, rather they're produced from electromagnetic radiation fluctuations in the magnetosphere of the celestial bodies studied by the Voyager probes.

Grading NOTES & DEfinitions

I typically never sell records graded less than Very Good, unless it is truly one-of-a-kind.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 

EXCELLENT 

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD + 

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

VERY GOOD 

More consistent surface noise, but still nothing that interferes with the enjoyment of listening. The cover will have definite signs of wear or stickers and residue that may detract slightly from the artwork, but still not seriously compromise it.

GOOD 

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. 

FAIR 

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. 

POOR 

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

SHIPPING

Priority shipping in the U.S. is $8.00, $1.50 for each additional LP, Media Mail is $4.00, $1.00 each additional LP. 

All records come to you in a 3-mil polyethylene outer sleeve with the record shipped outside of the cover to prevent seam splits. The record, if unsealed, is placed in a fresh ploy-lined anti-static paper sleeve prior to shipment. If you have any other shipment instructions, I am happy to tailor the package to your wishes.

THINK GREEN! All records bringing under $40 at auction will be lovingly packed in a GENTLY used record mailer with fresh cardboard stiffeners. I assure you, the once-used mailers still have the spines and edges straight, strong, and true. Plenty of life left in these great mailers.
