Description
The Specials - Gangsters - Original 1979 signed 2 Tone Promo Poster - this is signed by Sir Horace Gentleman to a guy called Mauro, Mauro if I recall correctly lived in Birmingham.
For those of you who are not aware, the first pressings of 'Gangsters' came in a plain hand-stamped sleeve. This is because 2 Tone had signed a 1 single distribution deal with Rough Trade Records to manufacture the first 10,000 or so singles. This is the promo poster promoting these first pressings.
When 'Gangsters' flew off the shelves, 2 Tone subsequently signed a bigger distribution deal with Chrysalis Records to keep the momentum going and Chrysalis did their own promo poster to promote it, and also designed the 2 Tone single sleeve that the single was later packaged with.
This poster is in very good condition - Some minor surface marks (see pics) but NO FOLDS, NO TEARS, NO PINHOLES
