Description
UNBELIEVABLY RARE opportunity to own a slice of Rock and Roll history! Offered for auction is the FIRST release by New York post- punk pioneers The Strokes on legendary Rough Trade Records. Two slices of sublime, perfect gutter punk, Last Nite and The Modern Age. Limited to just 500 releases, this single has had one owner since release in 2001. This was a seriously limited release and is now very scarce! When this was released, it caused a tidal wave of hysteria and excitement, with Rough Trade and Steve Lamacq claiming The Stokes to be the most exciting music in a decade or more. 7" has been played, and so shows sign of this, but has been very carefully cared for and is without major scratches (Record Collector grading EX-) and is in sound, robust condition.
