Description
The Temptations
A. Get Ready
B. Fading Away
1966 UK Tamla Motown TMG 557
1st Press, KT stamped.
The first thing to say is that both sides are badly marked, particularly the B-side. The marks on "Get Ready" are very noticeable but not deep. It plays through really well to a VG+ and sounds great. The B-side is another matter. There are deep scratches, and while it plays through without sticks or jumps, it pops and crackles throughout making for a poor listen.
It comes in its rare original "6/-" orange Motown sleeve which has also seen better days! The front right side edge has a split almost the full length but could easily be repaired with sellotape.
The price reflects the condition, as a VG+ copy easily fetches £100+.
