Description
Helo! I have been a vinyl collector for over 20 years. Although I mostly collect, I do have to spring-clean now and again. So occasionally I will be auctioning many items that need a good home i.e. not my bin! They will all start off at £1! Postage will be £1.75 for 45’s; £3.50 for LPs – with multiple auction winners obviously getting adjusted rates. They are all graded using “Record Collector Price Guide 2014” and referenced where possible using “Labelography” and “Labelography Vol.2” by Jan Pettersson.

COMMENTS
The 1st (and best?) outing from the then progressive jamming jazz trio on the 1st pressing orange Dawn label. It has no poster as indicated in RRPG (but I've never seen one. have you?)
CONDITION
Vinyl
The 1st vinyl is clean, bright and free from scuffs or scratches of any kind. Lovely! NM. The 2nd vinyl is also clean, bright and free from scuffs or scratches of any kind but there are a few fine marks from sliding the record in'n out of the sleeve presumably. EX
Label
Clean, no writing or marks. NM
Sleeve
The non laminated double sleeve has no writing or marks. There is some foxing to the white sleeve along the top and spine and there was once a sticker taken off the cover. The spine is intact and very wide! Has a few creases at the corner. No rips or tears. EX-

Terms I use and their definitions (…just in case!)
SCUFF
A “scuff” is a physical mark that is shallow and is not as deep as the groove itself. They can range from hairline scuffs from sliding the record in ‘n out of the sleeve, or more nasty scuffs from records sliding against other objects etc. as was the norm in the olde days – it usually causes the record to crackle – the severity depending on the scuff!
SCRATCH
A “scratch” is a physical mark that is as deep (or deeper) than the music groove itself – it usually causes the record to skip or stick even as it steers the stylus onto another part of the groove. Remember, styli track 45s quicker than 33 LPs, so scuffs that would doom an LP does not necessarily affect 45s in the same way.
SPINDLE FLUFF
This is the shavings of vinyl found around the spindle hole of a new record from the drill at the pressing plant. They come off after a few plays. Spindle fluff on a record is a sure sign of very few plays if any.
SLEEVE WATERMARK
These are marks you sometimes get on a record that look like ripples in sand. It is caused by the vinyl reacting with the poly-lined inner to change the reflective properties of the vinyl surface. I have only once seen this affect the sound quality of any vinyl – the watermark is only a few molecules deep after all. (E.g. my original copy of Trespass by Genesis is in M condition apart from such a mark on side 1. This allowed me to get it at a low price, yet it plays faultlessly.)
RATINGS
I will use + and – to differentiate on vinyl condition. Even though I strictly adhere to the Record Collector’s Grading System, I do feel that vinyl quality is a continuum from bad all the way to mint and not quantised into just their 7 categories.
