Description

An original 1st press in mono on UK London. Matrix 1B/1B. Stampers 1U/1R - one of the first few thousand copies to hit the shelves. Note the labels exhibit the deep groove as you would expect on 1st pressings. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with pinched spine. There's also the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen reasonably light use. Under close inspection I can make out a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLET level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays clean throughout by and large and there's a lot of the audio is quite fussy lowkey material. A few crackles in one isolated spot per side [e.g. Run Away]. And a couple of ticks midway through 'Walking'. Overall - superb.
Cover (Vg+) A lovely clean and unfaded cover with just a couple of edge stress creases. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process. Just light evidence and a signature top left. Edge wear is very slight and the openings are still sharp and firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. Bag present. No splits.
