I bought this in 1978 and never played it as I bought the Sire reissue at the same time so this copy has genuinely never been played except to grade it.
The record is in mint condition. It is clean, flat and very shiny. There are no spindle marks or any other marks on the label. There are a couple of pressing marks that make no difference to the sound (apparently unavoidable in 1st pressings). There is some barely audible crackle in the intro and between songs and none at all in the songs. This copy really is exactly as it was 41 years ago.
The very flimsy cover is in ex- condition. It is clean and free from creasing but there is a little browning to the top 1cm and a 1cm split along one of the folds. There is a 1mm brown spot and some very slight wear to the top edge but otherwise this is in astonishing condition given its age and fragility.
This is genuinely an outstanding copy of this classic record. The cover is not mint but I doubt you will find a better one and you certainly won't find a better copy of the vinyl.
