Description
The Valentinos / The Simms Twins – Double Barrelled Soul, 1968 LP Soul City SCM 001.
Despite a minor fault, this is a nice example of the LP Double Barrelled Soul. Side one contains six tracks by The Valentinos while side two has six tracks by The Simms Twins. It was released on the Soul City label in 1968 – SCM 001. The playing surface of the record is in lovely shiny EX+ condition. PLEASE NOTE – that the record does have a gentle warp. Which is annoying as this must drag the grade down but I have just played the first couple of tracks on each side and it makes no difference at all to the sound – on my basic modern Steepletone record player. But of course it does need mentioning. To clarify – I cannot actually think of the correct word / term for this as it is sort of ‘dished’. What I mean is that when you play the first side a warp is apparent visually, but when you play the second side it looks flat and the stylus does not move at all. As I say, it is perfect when played. When I The cover grades as Near Mint.It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important.
