Description
I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge.
Here I have a copy of the ' The Velvet Underground ' 1969 release ' The Velvet Underground ' which was the bands 3rd studio album.
The record is a first issue UK STEREO (no MONO's released) pressing on the 50/50 blue and gold MGM labels and has the Val Valentine mix on it. Cat no CS 8018 The matrix side 1 : 2YMG 291 - 1G Stampers 1 A side 2 : 2YGM 292 - 1G Stampers 1 M
Grading :
I've played both sides of the record. Visually the record is very clean and under light with very little signs of play. The record plays almost flawlessly with superb sound in both the highs and lows. Maybe 2 or 3 pops on the entire album.
No jumps, skips, distortion etc. The labels are clean with no writing etc. Grade is EX.
The front laminated flipback sleeve cover is in EX condition, lovely and crisp with sharp edges and minimal wear. The only sign of use is a little mild creasing to the front laminate which was probably from the manufacturing process. Comes with EX original plain white inner sleeve with 'Made in England' and PATENT NO. 1,125,555.
This is a super rare lp and in hardly played condition. Please study the photo's and check out my other similar genre and era lps.
