The Velvet Underground Self Titled 1969 MGM 1st Press Lou Reed CLOSET MIX (rare)

Record: - Side A: VG, very minor scuffs, light scratches plays clean
- Side B: VG+ very very faint scratches Sleeve:  VG/VG-, edge wear, ring wear. Back photo is starting to peel, no splits

• Blue & gold MGM labels with ("modernized Leo") lion logo in black and "MGM Records" in blue.
• Cat# SE4617 printed on the right side of the label.
• Text below tracklist includes: All Selections Publ. By Virpi, Inc.—BMI.
• Side A incorrectly lists "What Goes On" duration as 3:35 (correct duration of 4:52 printed on back cover).
• Cat# SE-4617 on spine, at the top left of the front cover, at the top left and bottom right of the back cover.

This version has Lou Reed's "closet" mix. Two mixes of the album were released. The initial mix is Reed's which boosts his vocals and lowers its instruments, which was the first mix sold in the United States. Morrison noted that it sounds like it was recorded in a closet, which led to its label as the "closet mix". Valentin produced a more conventional mix. The more widely distributed mix is the one credited to Valentin
