The Velvet Underground and Nico - Polydor - 2459 358
German pressing - "Made in West Germany" printed on both label and sleeve, words around the edge of the label in German, GEMA pre-printed on label (the German equivalent of the Performing Rights Society).
The only date I can find on it is the production date of 1966. However, I am pretty sure I bought it new in the early `80s.
Stamped on the matrix run out are these figures ;
Side 1 - 2428 506=2 5 1 3 20 , something small I can`t make out, 1A
Side 2 - 2428 506 5 2 =2 3 20, small design that looks a bit like a paper-clip, 1
(The lettering is very small, but that`s what I think I`m seeing)
Fun fact ; There is a misprint on the rear of the sleeve, the timing given for Black Angels` Death Song is 7:40, and for European Son is given as 3:10. In fact it should be the other way round. The times are given correctly on the label.
Also the rear sleeve has been stamped with a discreet embossing stamp PRS Hannover just near the lower left hand corner. This will refer to the Performing Rights Society.
Sleeve - clean, intact, undamaged. Minimal wear.
Label ; clean, unmarked
Vinyl - clean, intact, undamaged. A little bit of superficial wear here and there but nothing likely to affect play. This is from my own collection, it`s quite a while since I played it but as I recall it played with no problems whatsoever.
