The Ventures were an iconic American instrumental rock band formed in Tacoma, Washington, in 1958. They're widely regarded as the most successful and best-selling instrumental group in rock history. They exploded with their 1960 hit "Walk, Don't Run". They pioneered a clean, twangy guitar-driven sound that helped popularize surf rock.
