The WEAVERS Privately Pressed Acetate LP with Songs from 1950-53 including 2 Unreleased Rare
You're bidding on a One of a Kind (I don't know if any other copies exist) 10" Acetate LP by Folk Music Legends, The Weavers featuring Pete Seeger. This appears to be a Privately Pressed Acetate made in a recording studio in the 1950's. It includes songs from their early 45-78 rpm singles and others tracks circa 1950-1953. What makes this collection even more special is the inclusion of 2 songs : Wasn't That a Time and Dig My Grave which only became officially released in 2000 on a 3 CD set called Goodnight Irene The Weavers 1949-1953. The Acetate is in VG- condition with No deep scratches but several lines and marks that do not effect the sound. Plays fine with some pops and ticks (like most acetates) but No skips. The paper sleeve from Presto Recording Corporation (in Paramus ,N.J.) has tears on one side but holds the record nicely. If you collect early Folk Music or are a Pete Seeger fan, here's a extremely rare record that you'll probably Never see again.
