UK Original 45 on COLUMBIA RECORDS DEMO issue# DB 7981 from 1966
Red and white 'A' lable copy
A cool Garage-Beat single from a band who made the style their trademark.
They cut three singles, with Them's 'Gloria' and the outstanding 'Bad Little Woman' exemplifying their convictions! Not many raw beat singles made the charts or shipped millions of copies, so we can salute their consistency in not even trying to be a top commercial act.
What that means is that all of their 45s are rare and sought after, selling few copies.
I rate them alongside The Brand, Sons of Fred, and Betterdays, of this (mid-sixties) era.
'Kicks' was also done by Paul Revere and The Raiders in the US, and this final 45 is the coolest of their recordings, with a controlled tension. Great stuff!
I believe all their singles are very scarce, and this is a DEMO copy of this release.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++ to EX, with decent shine, plays great!
The lables are VG++, no pen or stickers.
A nice example that sounds - and plays - great!
