Original 1st US pressing of The Wailers’ legendary studio album “Catch A Fire” released by Island Records on April 17, 1973. The album remains factory sealed. The first 20,000 copies of this original 1st issue, just like the currently listed copy, came in a hinged cover with a "Zippo”" die cut which opens just like a lighter. This cover was hand-made and was too expensive to be mass produced. The front cover still retains a round “Factory Sealed For Your Protection” silver-foil sticker affixed to the shrink wrap at the top left corner. It’s guaranteed that inside this copy you’ll find the 1st print Island Records pink label variation used from late 1970 to 1975, which is often called “Pink Rim” or “Palm Tree” label.

 This factory sealed album is in great vintage Mint Minus condition. The front and back cover have creases at the top left and right corners with another crease present at the bottom left corner of the back cover. Please take into consideration that these creases are almost always present on this issue due to the design and construction of the cover. The shrink wrap doesn't have any splits, tears or missing pieces containing an original breathe hole on the front cover.
